TSOT #247

Hi all! It's time again for another Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday. This weeks theme was to use non traditional colours for Christmas along with the sketch, for me, these colours arn't Christmas colours, so I went for it :)

I don't normally use a whole heap of patterned papers in my cards, so when I do, I generally like them to take center stage. I love how this card turned out and think I will be making a few more, as they are relatively quick to make.

It's always great to see what you create and hope you have time to join us this week.

Thanks for looking

TSOT #245

Hi All! It's time again for another challenge at Try Stampin' - or not - on Tuesday. This week is a super simple sketch with endless possibilities.
Also if you are like me and are starting to run out of time making Christmas cards, this is a perfect starting point for mass producing cards and you can even use up the scraps I know that you have in your stash :)

So here's what I created:

And here is the awesome sketch:

So now over to you, we hope you can join us.

Thanks for looking :)

Every Blessing - TSOT #243

Hello! Welcome back to another challenge at Try Stampin - Or Not - On Tuesday. Well I'm into the swing of making my Christmas cards (finally!)

The challenge (optional) was to also use ribbon - well I think twine counts as ribbon.
I'm not one to use much ribbon, so this is as close as I can get :)

Here's the sketch for you to use this week:

Now over to you - and don't forget you can join in on conversations on our Facebook page.

Thanks for looking

TSOT #241

Hi and welcome!
It's time again for this weeks Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday challenge.

I LOVED making this weeks card and knew what I wanted to do as soon as I saw the sketch.

How amazing is this stamp? I love it and couldn't wait to colour it. I embossed the dove it in gold onto water colour paper and coloured it with my blender pen using: Tip Top Taupe, Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive. I gold embossed the sentiment and used the softly falling embossing folder on the panel for added texture. I was so happy with this card, that I think it will be one I will probably duplicate for my cards this year.

So now it's your turn. Here's the sketch:

We look forward to seeing what you create.
thanks for looking.

TSOT #231 - Bermuda Butterfly

Hello, hello! It's time again for another Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday challenge and this week the sketch is from yours truly. We also have an added challenge of 'Watercolour'.

So here's my card for this week:

I didn't know if I would actually finish this card as my week was busy, but I'm super pleased with how it turned out.

I started with lightly water colouring my tag in bermuda bay ink. My embossed background was actually a mistake. I wanted the same tone all over, but didn't mix enough embossing paste with my ink, so thus I created an ombre look - and love the look even more! My butterflies were cut from bermuda bay card and vellum and layered together and the sentiment is from Cottage Greetings. Oops! I just realised I left of the strip down the bottom ;)

I love this card for being able to show the versatility and possibilities for stretching your stash and only using 2 colours (and these just happen to be my teams colours :)

Ok so want to play along? Well here is the sketch:

And we look forward to seeing what you come up with :)

TSOT #227

Hi all, Just flying past to share this weeks Try Stampin' On Tuesday. It's a great sketch combo that you can use the photo as inspiration, the sketch or both!

Here's my take. I started out using the colours as a guide, but completely threw it out the window with the balloons :)

Hope you can join us this week!

Bold Baby - TSOT #225

Hello, It's time again for this weeks Try Stampin' - or not - On Tuesday and this week it is a sketch from yours truly :)

We also have a theme that you can also use with the sketch and this week its "Baby".

I don't really need too many baby cards at the moment, so I made my card so that I could use it for a baby or another occasion.

I went bold and clean! -- If you have any questions, just ask, but I think it's pretty self explanatory.
Here's the sketch:

We hope that you are able to join us this week and it's awesome seeing your creations!

TSOT #223

Hi! It's time for this weeks Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday challenge. We're going with a theme of "RAIN" this week.

Now if you saw my card from last challenge (Here) you would know it was quick, simple and easy. Well this time round - totally different story and I still don't think I like it -ARGH!

Any ways, here is my contribution:

Yep, I still feel 'meh' about it :) But we all have cards like that don't we?

Well I hope you are able to join us for this challenge - I do love seeing how you all interpret the challenge.

Try Stampin' #221 - A Quick Card

Hello! It's time again for a Try stampin' On Tuesday challenge. Today we are mixing things up with a colour challenge.

 Yellow, Blue & Green
A great colour combo, but one I don't use too often.

So the story behind my card was: I thought about what I wanted to do, got a sketch in my head, then left it really late to get it done! So I do apologize for the quality of the picture :)
I made this card and photographed it within 20 mins!
The good creating a card so quickly, is there is no time for ahing and uming about what you are doing.

So my extra challenge to you is to create a card which is made quickly.

As always, post your card to the TSOT Blog or the TSOT Facebook Page, its fantastic seeing all your creations!

Thanks for looking :)

TSOT #219

Hello, hello! So I'm late with this post, but I guess better late than never! So this week we are mixing things up and using a picture as inspiration instead of a sketch.

My kinda picture! I loved the bright fun colours and so here's what I came up with:

Not as bright, but great colours to play with :) I used Bermuda bay, Melon mambo and Pumpkin pie. I coloured my flowers with wink of stella for that extra pizazz.

I hope you are able to play along with us this week. Also we have our Facebook page, which has great conversations and sharing, which we would love for you to join in with :)

Ok so over to you - if you have any questions, just ask and thanks for looking!

TSOT #209

Hello, Hello! I totally forgot that I had to post this card, we had a public holiday here on Monday, so I'm so mixed up! Any way, here is my card for this weeks Try Stampin' On Tuesday.

I am loving this flower stamp from Indescribable Gift. I embossed the image onto vellum in white, then turned it over and coloured with my blendabilities. I used my dies to create some frames in wild wasabi, and covered them with wink of Stella. Then I finished with some ribbon which I had cut down. I love how soft and pretty the flowers look using this way of colouring.

And here's the sketch for this week from yours truly!

Now over to you - I hope you can join us this week!

Try Stampin' On Tuesday #207

Hello, hello! It's time again for another sketch over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I thought I had this already scheduled, grr - technogy. This weeks sketch is from myself and I love how quickly this came together.

I used the Sale-a-Bration designer series paper Best Year Ever and boy is this beautiful! I'm loving all the colours in this paper.

So now over to you, it's fantastic seeing what you create and how you use the sketch :)

Thanks for looking xx

TSOT #205

Hello! I'm flying by to post this card I created for Try Stampin' On Tuesday.
I took this sketch and used it very loosely, but hey, that's what a sketch is for right - to spark our creativeness? Well that's what I went with ;)

I coloured my image in melon mambo and wild wasabi blendabilities and the beautiful stamp set is Indescribable Gift.

Here's the sketch:

We hope you will be able to join us this week :)

Congrats!

Hi again! I know - dont fall off your seats - 2 posts in a week - WHAT!

Any ways :) Here's another card from my watercolouring session.

I used melon mambo, crushed curry and bermuda bay inks and the sentiment is from 'Your perfect day'. I actually cut this stamp set up as I really loved the 'Congrats' sentiment and would use it a lot more than the full sentiment and I'm lazy, so trimming it is easier than masking it every time ;)

So tell me, do you ever trim your stamps to suit your crafting?

Thanks for looking xx

Thank You

Hi! If you follow me on instagram then you would have seen a sneak peek of this card.
This last week I've been playing around with my inks and watercolour paper and creating all sorts of gorgeous background papers.

With this card I decided to also use the bokeh technique. If you havent heard of it, try it! It is essentially taking a background and sponging circles in various shapes in white ink.

I have used melon mambo, bermuda bay, crushed curry inks to create my background and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Hostess stamp set 'Let your hair down.'

If you have any questions let me know and thanks for looking :)

TSOT #203

Hello, Hello! Well I think I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. I lost my crafting mojo for a good month and then we had Christmas and school holidays and I just haven't found the time... BUT, my kids have gone back to school and I'm ready to go :)

So here's my card for this weeks Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch.

I cheated a bit by using striped DSP instead of cutting individual strips.

Here's the sketch:

We hope you can join us this week - it's awesome seeing your creations.
