Chalkboard Christmas - TSOT #111

Hello, It's time again for another sketch over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday and I went for a Christmas card this time round.

I wanted to try the chalkboard technique, so I altered the size of the image panel just a tad ;)

I used my Jolly jingles wheel, which I have cut up. I think this is still too clean, as I was a little scared to smudge it up too much - but I think thats kinda the idea of this technique! I used my never ending supply of jolly holiday dsp and used cherry cobbler, old olive and very vanilla card. A touch of bling with silver pearls and I was done.

Two Love Birds - TSOT #110

Hello! Once again we have another great sketch to inspire you to get your crafty on over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I LOVE this sketch and as soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

Heres the sketch:

And what I came up with:

This is the anniversary card I gave to my Hubby - he loved it!
I flipped the sketch and changed the oval to a circle. I kept it clean and simple, with a basic grey and white colour combo, with a 'pop' of colour with real red. The sentiment is from fabulous phrases, the birds were punched out with the bird punch and the glimmer heart is from the owl builder punch and the real red heart is from heart to heart punch. The birds and heart are popped up on dimensionals.

I was really happy with how this turned out. Now over to you, go past the Try Stampin' On Tuesday blog and check out the other design team amazing creations and then link up your creation - it's great seeing what you come up with!

Fresh Vintage Butterfly

Hi all! I was cruising around on Pinterest the other week and came across this card which someone else had pinned from my blog. I thought it was awesome seeing my work pinned and re pinned :)
Any ways, I had made up a few more of these beauties, but I used the fresh vintage stamp instead and thought I'd share...

The vanilla panel is stamped using the biggest stamp in rose red, using my stamp-a-ma-jig. I've then inked up my square lattice EB folder in crumb cake and run it through. All the edges are sponged and the butterfly is also stamped with rose red to create a ton on tone effect. I made the same card in: not quite navy, elegant eggplant and cherry cobbler.

TSOT #109

Hello! It's time again for another fabulous sketch over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday and this one was created by Mynnette.

Here it is:

Such a cute sketch! Here's what I came up with:

I went back to my old faithful colours. I used a crumb cake base, pear pizzaz dsp, certainly celery for the leaves, so saffron ribbon. The flowers are from 'embrace life' and are stamped in versa mark, heat embossed in clear and using my sponge dauber in rose red, I started in the center and worked my way outwards to get the soft colouring effect. My sentiment is from 'teeny tiny sentiments' and stamped in rose red and layered onto certainly celery. A bit of bling to finish and I was done :)

I hopefully inspired you, BUT if you need more inspiration, then go to the Try Stampin' On Tuesday blog and check out all the other amazing creations the team has come up with. Then link up your creation as we love seeing what you come up with.

Fine and Sunny Birthday

Hi! Finally getting around to sharing a few creations I've had sitting in my 'to blog' folder :)

This is a card I made well over 6 months ago. I used Kaisercraft paper and made it as a joy fold card, but turned vertically, not horizontally.

This card actually had a last minute change, before I gave it away. I needed a card for my DD kindy teacher, so the sentiment change to 'thanks'. I love making my own cards for that reason - I can change up sentiments or even leave cards blank until I know what I need :)

Any questions just ask

TSOT #108 - Two Owls

Hello! It's time for another fabulous sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I actually struggled with this one - dont know why, as it's a nice clean and simple sketch - my favourite! But I think my mojo has gone MIA this past week.

Any ways heres the great sketch from Mynnette:

And my contribution:

This is a card which started out with one idea in mind, but as I was making it, ended up being a baby card - ever happen to anyone else. This card is for all the mums expecting twin boys - I dont think I could go there ;) I kept the lines clean and simple and I used marina mist, crumb cake and a strip of greenhouse gala dsp. The sentiment is from fabulous phrases and the panel behind the owls is the A to Z stamped in daffodil delight.

Go past the Try Stampin' On Tuesday blog, for the other design teams fantastic creations and link yours up as well - we love seeing what you come up with!
