Punch Board Crackers

Good morning, thought I'd pop past real quick and share these little cuties.

I made them with the envelope punch board. I got the instructions from Connie Collins and they use the  Winter Frost DSP stack. I wanted to use silver bells, but couldn't find any, so gold it is. The sentiment is from the Jolly Jingles wheel, which I have cut out and mounted and I believe it's on sale now through the clearance rack.

Teachers Gifts

Good evening, or actually it's good early morning :) I've been up trying to get a few things done (been working on some bon-bons made with the envelope punch board - I'll share them later)

Anyway, I have a quick project to share with you. I made these for each of my DD's teachers this year and the teachers loved them!

They are little note holders. I made them using an IKEA frame, placed some retired dsp in the frame and finished it off with a clip - super easy and quick!

I went super clean and simple for the packaging - a white paper bag, some retired ribbon and tag and I was done. I was really happy with how these turned out and it's always a bonus when the recipients love them just as much.

Secret Santa Gift

Hi! Wow, it's been a long time since I have posted anything other that design work! I am creating, but I have been naughty and forgotten to take photos to share and being in the thick of Christmas season, time seems to get away from me :)

Anyway, I'm apart of a fabulous group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators and this is the gifts I sent to my secret santa.

This box was a bought one, which I wrapped with a belly band to hold the lid on.

The flower was made with lots of layers of two scallop circles, which I have crunched for texture and the bag has some leftover circles from the box (which were stitched together) and I finished it off with the motif from  Happy Day stamp set.

And finally my card, this was a re-create from this one I did earlier in the year. I love this simple design. My colours were cherry cobbler, old olive and whisper white and the DSP is season of style - love this stuff :)

TSOT Holiday Tag

Hi, it's time again for another installment of Try Stampin' On Tuesday and this week we have something different for you. We have all created a tag and have a short tutorial for you, to give you a few ideas with the lead up to Christmas.

Here's my tag:

And my tutorial:

1. Die cut tag in old olive cardstock.
2. Layer a cherry cobbler piece 7.5 cm x 8 cm.
3. Layer whisper white card 7.3 cm x 8 cm.
4. Adhere a strip of cherry cobbler 3 cm x 8 cm along the bottom.

5. Adhere a strip of Seasons of Style DSP 2.6 cm, x 8 cm over cherry cobbler strip.

6. Using the bird punch, punch out a pile of the leaves. How many you punch put depends on how full
you want your Christmas tree to look.

7. Starting with 4 leaves, start glueing them onto the right hand side of the tag. I like to use liquid glue
for this job. Build up your tree until you are happy with it. Snip a small strip of soft suede and glue
under leaves to create trunk. Glue on silver pearls to finish tree.

 8. Stamp sentiment onto whisper white and trim. Flag cut the ends and adhere to top of your tag as
     shown.

And the finished tag. I hope you like it and find the tutorial useful.

TSOT #145

Hello! It's time again for another sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday.

I was going to create something completely different, but ended up going very clean and simple. I recently got the Happy Day stamp set. I fell in love with the medallion and wanted to pull it out for this sketch. I'm loving bermuda bay and whisper white as a Christmas combo this year. I'll show you a few more examples I have done with this combo at a later date - hopefully I'll get there!!

Now over to you, it's fantastic seeing all of your creations and I know you'll want to see the DT creation, so go here to check them out.

TSOT #141

Hi all, it's time again for another sketch over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I went for a rather quick and simple variation of the sketch.

This is another one of my sketches and I actually pulled it from this card. There is a spooky theme to go with this weeks sketch, but here in Oz, we dont really celebrate halloween. I'm also trying to use up some retired papers - but cutting into beautiful papers is SO hard! I'm however happy with how fresh this feels.

Now over to you, it's great seeing what you come up with and I'm sure you are going to want to check out the other DT creations, so go here

Hi! Just wanted to share so exciting news with you. After about three years of Nicole asking if I wanted to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I have finally signed up! So I'm making a few changes here on my blog and Facebook page. Now my title is now Papertrails and I'll slowly be getting my Stampin' Up! online shop set up and any other links I need. I'd love to know what you think of my new clean and fresh look (Spring cleaning is a great thing to do even in blog land :) Also just wanted to say a big thank you to every one who leaves me comments - they really do make my day!

TSOT #139

Hello, well it's time again for another sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday and this has to be one of my go to sketches:

The theme this week is 'give thanks'. Here in Australia, we dont celebrate Thanksgiving, so I decided to use one of my Verve scripture stamps. This was so easy to make and I think I did it in 20 mins - that has to be a recored for me at the moment!!

Now I know you'll want to see the other designers creations, so click here. And remember to link up your creation.

Thanks for looking.

TSOT #137

Hi! It's time again for another sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. It's one of my sketches and we also have the added theme of "Autumn in the air".

For the past month or so, my creativeness has gone awol. So this is the first card that I feel like it didn't take forever to create and I can look at it and say "I dont hate it" (but then I dont love it either :) I think we are our own harshest critics.
I did challenge myself to try something new and for my borders and details, I drew around the edges with a black felt tip pen.
I actually found the theme a funny one, as here in Australia we're going into spring, so it's nice and warm and cold autumn weather is now a thing of the past!!! (yes I love spring/summer :)

So now over to you, it's great seeing your creations and how you interpret the sketch. If you want to see the other DT's creations, then click here.

TSOT #135

Hello! It's time again for another sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday, with the additional theme of using circles on your card.

I wanted to make another Christmas card - my stash is no where near where it needs to be! I heat embossed my image panel and sentiment in gold. The baubles are made from the retired stamp set pendant park and punched out with different size punches, I got the idea from Mary Fish.

Now over to you - it's great seeing what you come up with.

Just also wanted to welcome the new designers that have joined our team - they are fabulous! And if you want to see the design teams creations, go here.

CAS Wildflower Meadow

Hi! Well it's been awhile since I have posted a card that isn't for a design team commitment.

Back in July I attended a stamp retreat and over the next few days I'll try to share the cards I made (I must admit that I got pretty side tracked and ended up enjoying the good company, rather than
creating :)

I'm going to start with my favourite one first:

The great thing about going to a retreat, is being able to use stamps I dont own. I stamped this in white ink onto crumb cake and let it dry a little, then started colouring with ink pads and blender pen.

I LOVE the soft effect and I'll have to look at what other stamps I can colour this way.

TSOT #132

Hi, It's time again for another sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. This is a rather simple and versatile sketch - gotta love that!!

I went with a Christmas card (you'll probably be seeing a few more, as Christmas is not that far away-eek!) The beauty about this card was that I had previously stamped the tree and the rest is made all from scraps - took about 10 mins to put together :)

Now over to you! It's great seeing what you create and if you want to see the other design teams creations go here.

Any questions just ask and thanks for looking.

TSOT #131

Hi! It's time again for another Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch.

This one I really struggled with :)

To be honest, I thought this one was in the 'too hard' basket, but to give up would be to defeat the purpose of a challenge - am I right ?? Any way, as I started to pull items out and I came up with a rather clean and simple version of the sketch, but I think it still works.

Now over to you! Try this sketch out - elaborate or keep it clean - either way it's great seeing how you use the sketch. Go here to check out the other design teams creations.

TSOT #130

Good morning! It's time again for another sketch over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I used this one to make an engagement card for some family members.

I was quite happy with the end result. I did alter the sketch a little, but I'm sure thats ok :)
It's a short and sweet one from me today - I have a bazillion things to do.

Any questions just ask and thanks for looking

JAI 176 - Just Add Blokes

Hi all, just popping past to share a card that I made for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge, which is 'Just add blokes'. This was perfect timing, as it's Hubby's birthday and I needed a card :)

I went quite graphic and as he's a Port Power fan, I decided to use these colours. I actually printed the 'birthday' from MDS (how awesome is that program?!) And I dont know if you can see it, due to the picture being a bit too stark, grr, but I did emboss the white with the chevron EB folder. I was quite happy with the end result, and I think Hubby was too.

TSTO #129

Hi, well it's time again for another sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday and this week we have a very clean and simple sketch for you.

My card came together really quickly and I dont mind it! After looking at it now though I would add a not quite navy boarder around the DSP, maybe next time :)

So now it's over to you, dress this sketch up or keep it clean and simple - either way its great to see your creations. Also you can see the other DT creations here.

Any questions, just ask and thanks for looking.

TSOT #128

Hello! It's time again for another Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch. It's a great sketch, but surprisingly I struggled with this one. Any way here is my offering for this weeks sketch:

And the sketch:

I used pink pirouette, rose red and melon mambo, with a touch of certainly celery for my colours. I stamped the flowers in black stazon and the sentiment is from teeny tiny sentiments.

Now over to you, it's fantastic seeing what you create and if you need more inspiration, go here to check out the other design teams amazing creations.

TSOT #126

Hi! Where are the days going? It's school holidays here and I've lost complete track of the days - ever happen to you? Any ways, here's my card for this weeks Try Stampin' On Tuesday.

I'm trying to use up items from my stash and so this card came together quite quickly. I already had the dinosaur coloured and the background embossed, I just added it to a base, stamped a sentiment and added some pearls.

We hope you are able to join in with us this week. Check out the other design teams creations here and remember to link up your creation.

TSOT #125 - Happiest Birthday Yet

Hi, it's time again for another sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday and I'm going to keep this short and sweet, as I have an ironing pile that has been calling me for weeks and I'm about as revved up as I'll ever get to doing it :)

Initially I struggled with this one, but as soon as I switched it to a square, it all fell into place. I'm really happy with how this turned out. If you have any question, just ask :)

It's great seeing your creations and if you want to see the other design teams creations, then go here.

TSOT #124 - Baby Fox

Hi, I'm here to share my card for this weeks sketch at Try Stampin' On Tuesday.

Initially, I thought washi tape, but I dont have any (minor detail :) So after rummaging through my stash, I was inspired by the retired nursery nest dsp. I flipped the sketch and kept my card very clean and simple. I free hand cut the tree and used my 1/2" circle punch to create the leaves. If you have any questions, just ask.

Now over to you, its really is great seeing your creations and how you interpret an sketch. If you want to see the other creations from the design team then click here.

JAI #170 - Just Add Leaves

Hi, just wanted to quickly share this card I made for this weeks challenge over at Just Add Ink. We had to add leaves to our projects.

This is a very simple card, I cut out a bunch of leaves and stuck them to the back of my card and trimmed off any excess.

Pop past JAI to check out the design teams great creations.
